Hi! This card was made for today's Color Combination Challenge: Basic Black, Pink Pirouette, and Whisper White.
Speedy the Cat ADORES my mother. He simply goes NUTS when she is visits. He sits on her lap and purrs and nuzzles her face. It's disgusting, and totally un-catlike!
Recently...last week...my mother has gotten new cancers. She now has stomach cancer and BREAST cancer....It's really horrible, and she's already on chemo, for leukemia, so there is really nothing left to do but wait.
Being a breast cancer survivor, myself, I find it ridiculous that this disease can manifest when someone is undergoing OTHER cancer treatment!
So, in honor of my mother, I have started a card drive for the women undergoing treatment for breast cancer in our city. There are 77 "breast cancer clusters" in our city, and that is staggering!
The background was run through the Cuttlebug Textile embossing folder. I rubbed the Pink Pirouette ink pad over the surface to shade the embossed areas.
The star was stamped in Pink Pirouette and the sentiment was stamped over the star in Basic Black.
The primas were WHITE! I pressed them into the Pink Pirouette pad and dried them with the heat tool. The leaves were punched out of Whisper White and then shaded with Pink Pirouette.

VERY BEAUTIFUL!
I too am touched by Cancer in our Family. I lost my Father to Colon Cancer (ugly stuff). And now my oldest daughter's father-in-law has Liver Cancer
and had 80% of it removed but more showed up on his shoulder. :(
So So, very heartrenching! I will Pray hard for You and Yours.
Lots of Thoughts and Prayers from Fellow Stampers!
One a happier note: My hubby saw a very cute bumper sticker that states:
SAVE THE TA TA'S.
i thought it was cute, so now when he sees a commercial or something he says: SAVE THE Ta Ta's!
I love this card, the embossed background almost looks like metal with the inked edging. I also love the window with the dots. Great Ideas of Course.
You Really Inspire Me!

Stunning card, Faith! I am always amazed how fast you can create your gorgeous cards.
I am sorry to hear about your Mom's cancer. I hope the doctors can treat all of them all and your Mom can beat it.
