Am I the only one that saw this as a tiered cake? So, I used this fold to make a birthday card for my dil.
I did taper the sides by cutting off 1/2" from each side of the top layer.
I scalloped the layers and used sticky thingamajigs on each scallop. Thanks Terri! I don't know what they are called, so thingamajigs will have to do. lol
I also used a bit of cuttlebugging on the back layer just to add more fun. I also embossed the candles which are slid or slided ???? through the fold at the top of that fold. I added yellow stickles for the flames. Recognize the flame? It's the old SU daisy punch petals, cut apart. It worked great!
So, what do you think of this idea? I think it will make a gorgeous wedding card too. Oooo, I need one. I'm off to do it! Thanks for looking

I love your cake. Your weren't alone in seeing a layered cake. I saw it too, but still decided to go a different way, because I couldn't find my candle stamp.
Oh, Karen, you are too clever! I LOVE your layered cake! The textured candles and scalloped icing (with the thingamajigs) are fabulous! Send me socks! LOL!!!
