Hi! This card was made for today's Technique Lovers Challenge: Stair Step Fold card.
Yes, like the title says, Speedy the Cat is afraid of rocking chairs and stairs....I'm serious! When we had a rocker, he wouldn't go into the living room! He'd hiss at the chair from the hallway! We sold the rocking chair for $30 at a garage sale and I swear, I could hear Speedy the Cat CHEERING! LOL!
He is also very afraid of stairs. I think it has to do with the fact that the vet is in a clinic that is on the second floor, and I have to lug the carriers up a flight of steps. Ever try to carry a crate full of a hissing, thrashing cat? sigh.....
So, when I saw this challenge I thought of the vet, that led to thoughts of litter boxes, that led to thoughts of the outside feral cats and how they use sand, that lead to thoughts of the desert that finally led to thoughts of this stamp set! LOL! (I bet you didn't think stairs would lead you here, did you?)
The images were stamped in VersaMark, embossed in gold and then colored with markers. I used an aqua painter to blend the colors. Next I outlined areas with a black marker for more definition.
The sky was sponged in. The background Creamy Caramel was cut, squished up, straightened, and sponged for a "leather" look.
