What a fabulous choice for FS! Congrats, Anne! This is for you.
I cased This and despite what Anne says, it definitely is NOT an ugly card. I changed the colors, the card size, left off the lock and added the basket of flowers and the sentiment. I used this image (unknwn) because my dear friend Anne sent it to me! I used dye reinkers to watercolor the image and I added splatters and tore the edges.
I made a frame in the vanilla c/s using the Nestie resizing tech. Then I stamped a linen texture (SC) over it w/ the buff ink. Very subtle.
The basket (Anita's) and flowers (Inkadinkado) were stamped on w/c paper and colored the same way. I cut them out and cut a slit in the basket to insert the flowers. I did the nestie resize on the sentiment block. This is the only French stamp I own and this is the first time I've used it. I thought it appropriate since I know Anne speaks French.
I added the ribbon and a blue layer and did faux stitching w/ a red gel pen. Anne has used real stitching quite a bit on her cards, but I just couldn't bring myself to dig out the sewing machine. So I hope faux will do. I hope you like it, dear Anne. Even though I don't speak French and have never been to France, this is what I imagine a ride in the French countryside would look like. TFL
