I made this card for 2 reasons, one I wanted to break in my new stamp, and 2 for the limited supply challenge. The challenge, rock, paper, scissors. I don't really have the scissor part, but I have the rock and the paper.
I used my DCWV Luxury paper, I found this cool one, and thought, hmmm, why not try to stamp on the paper. It is so pretty, it would make a great backdrop for the saying. So I got out my choc chip ink, my versa mark, and distress ep, and heat embossed my saying onto the dp. I think it came out awesome!
I then decided , ok these are nice colors, let me make the card creamy caramel. When I help up the image to the cardstock it worked. So then I grabbed close to cocoa. Now I'm on a roll! When I held the image with the backing up to the caramel, I decided it needed something. So I used my jumbo roller and rolled doodle in creamy caramel. This looked great!
Now for the bling, hmmm, what can I do for rock? Then I thought of my hardware. I seldom use it, and after looking around I found the great piece I am using. I wanted contrast, so I used my choc chip ribbon from SU. I held every thing in my hand and eyeballed it. hmmm, this card still needs something. What could it be? So I grabbed a scap piece of choc chip out of my folder and wow, it just spoke to me. So after moving it around a bit, I came up with this.
I really like the look of this card. It really is different from what I've done in the past. I was thinking out of the box for a change.
Thanks for a great challenge. I just love being creative!
Have a great day, and TFL!
