This is the left page of a two-pager I did for PeggyÂ’s Bizarre and Unique Holidays Challenge. There were 3 holidays that I had ideas for, but I decided to use *Curious Events Day*, because one day my DGD and I did two separate things that were interesting and curious to her!
I learned a couple of things while doing this DPS, which took way longer to do than I had intended! First, rub-ons take TOO LONG when you have a long title, and second, itÂ’s difficult to get letters big enough to see well when you have a long title. I have to say, IÂ’m disappointed at how my title turned out, but as they say--whatÂ’s done is done. IÂ’m OK with everything else on the pages, though, and I love the photos.
Some deets:
* Pink circle: I traced around a dessert plate and cut it out with scissors. The little blue squiggles around the edge of the circle were *outies* from the punched pieces. I ran them through my Xyron 150 and glued them on by hand.
* Circle of Photos: I used my photo-editing program to cut the 4 photos into 4 quarter-shapes inside the circle on the left.
*Three sea animals (bottom left): I found the sea animal shapes online, pasted/arranged them in MS Word, used a light box to trace outlines with pencil. Colored with prismacolors/gamsol, outlined them in black ink and added Stickles.
*Journaling done in MS Word using the Curlz font.

I actually LOVE the title...it's so whimsical, colorful and childlike...perfect for the layout! I adore these pages...you can see your dgd childlike wonder and play...the pages reflect this.
