I'm so happy that I ordered this stamp set. This is the first card I made with it and have plans to make an idential card with the dove image in the set, too. This card also uses this week's color challenge (Really Chocolate Breezes). Now I know I added Old Olive, but that's because there's a wreath and fir trees in the image. I thought that it made for a very unique Christmas card.
My card base is Chocolate Chip. Panel 2 is Baja Breeze cs that was stamped with the snowflakes stamp from the Merry & Bright stamp set in Baja Breeze ink. It's layered on Chocolate Chip and Really Rust cs. Panel 3 is designer paper from the Bella Rose collection and also layered on Chocolate Chip and Really Rust cs. Panel 4 (the main image) was done with the huff and puff technique. I used my SU markers (Old Olive, Really Rust & Chocolate Chip) and my Blender Pen and Baja Breeze ink to color the image directly onto the rubber, huffed to remoisten the ink and stamped onto Whisper White cs. I used my 2-Way Glue Pen to highlight areas of the stamp and added Dazzling Diamonds for a sparkly touch. Lastly, the sentiment was added with White Craft Ink and my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig. Oh yeah, all cardstock edges were distressed.
