This is for today's sketch challenge, as well as a double dare challenge issued by Beestamper (aka Beverly) to make a masculine card using a twig. The twig could be real or a stamped image. I chose to clip a twig from one of our White Spruce trees. I made this a Christmas card for my sweet DH. That's why this lady penguin is wearing lipstick (something I never go without) and holding a heart-shaped ornament embossed in gold. I used striped dp and the houndstooth embossing folder to add to the masculine look of the card.
I stamped the pinecone in Close to Cocoa and thumped it with my Chocolate Chip marker and stamped off the image three times. I then added some stamped pine branches.

This is fabulous! Great colors.......Christmasy, but still masculine. Love the papers, the use of a real spruce twig and the wonderful little trinket you made to echo the heart stamping!
