I was looking for inspiration to create a card using the Time Well Spent set, and came across this card-- Steppin' It Up by Tammy Jo at Splitcoaststampers
Many thank to Tammy Jo for sharing this idea!--I had never heard of a Step Card-- this was so much fun to create! Quite time consuming for me, but well worth the effort for a good friend's birthday.
I used the dimensions as described in Tammy Jo's post. I stamped a bunch of flowers using Pomegranate ink, and cut, cut, cut!! After that it was a matter of coloring and placement of the flowers and leaves.
On the "Happy" panel I stamped tiny flowers in VersaMark. I inked only the "Birthday" from the Magenta stamp, and embossed it and the frame. Can you see the butterfly on the back 'step' of the card? I cut out the inside of the wings and pasted the remains onto Acetate, and with a permanent marker colored the polka dots. The final 'fun thing' I did on the card was to make my spirals out of acetate, which adds a little bit of movement to some of the flowers and leaves.
I hope you like it!! Thanks for looking!
