Hello, I made this card for niece's 2nd birthday. Carly is crazy for sweets so when I saw this dp from DCWV called sweet stack, I knew I wanted to use it for her card!
The card base is metallic cardstock from Michael's & if I remeber right, it's called seafoam. Then a layer of pretty in pink, and a layer of the DP.
The canvas bg stamp was inked up with pretty in pink, and stamped on both white & pretty in pink cs. Then I stamped the sock monkey in brown onto both pieces. I cut them out & layered on circles made with the nestabilities. I made the monkey a girl by adding eyelashes! The whole thing is popped up on dimensionals.
The cupcake was stamped on the metallic paper for the bottom, and then pink for the top which was cut out & glued together. I coloured the candle flames with yellow marker, and added crystal stickles to the top & flame.
I used circle punches to make the tag with the #2 stamped in pretty in pink.
The ribbon is dbl. sided satin from Michaels.
TFL!
Have a great day!
Laurie

Love this sock monkey card. The colors you used are so pretty and the paper
is really good for this card. Your stickles added so much and I love her (with
eyelashes) being in your Nestabilites scallopand circle. I'm sure your niece will
love this.

Great card - I love the way you used the background stamp and then cut out the monkey and pieced - colors and everything about it are just great. I have this stamp set and have just been waiting for inspiration ... think I found it!
