 | | I've had this new set for a few weeks now and had yet to ink it up...until tonight! I loved the idea of today's bookmark technique for making a bookmark for a boyscout to mark his place in his guide and this set is perfect for it.
I squared off the chocolate chip base so the back side is no longer house-shaped and inked the bear in basic brown onto river rock. He is colored in with creamy caramel and the edges are sponged and then distresses. I created the ground under him with an old olive marker and inked the sentiment with kiwi kiss.
For the front triangle I stamped the star in river rock on river rock and then colored it with a blender pen dipped into river rock reinker (say that 10 times fast!!) and then highlighted with my white gel pen. The "skeeter" was stamped on kiwi kiss and cut out and layer on. The skeeter spray was stamped onto the tab and again onto river rock and paper pieced onto the tab.
I'm quite pleased with it... I usually have a hard time with cards/projects for boys and this worked out well.
Thanks for looking!
