I saw this turkey in this month's Stampin' Success Magazine, and I had to make one! He is so cute!
The scallop punches are folded to make his feathers (there's step-by-step direction in the magazine). They did not mention scoring the lines before folding, but because of the bulk after the first fold, and the small size of the paper, I scored mine for each. It worked well! I used TomBow Mono Glue for holding the folds. I used the brush tip of my Stampin' Write marker on the Harvest Home phrase stamp. I had to finish off the bottoms of the letters with the writing end of the marker after I stamped it.
It's hard to see in the photo, but the CS was crimped before I punched my square for the hat, and the DSP is curled over and secured with a copper mini brad.(Not that it will stay that way if mailed!)
This is a great project to demo several punches! I'm going to make sure I have plenty scallop circles pre-punched for my next workshop! I think this little guy will be a big hit!
