A lady came into the gift shop I occasionally fill in at. She was looking for a card for parents of a young man just sent to Afghanistan. She didn't find one and the clerk called me and asked if I could make something suitable. So this is it. The inside reads: If we could rise with wings on high, And straight towards our loved ones fly; Then we could breathe a grateful prayer, And hold them in our tender care. But, things don't always work that way; We have to watch and hope and pray. And please dear friends, know while you do, We also watch and pray with you. In a long ago swap, Papermoon04, aka Shelly, sent me a card and this card uses her sketch. My matching envelope was made with my Scor Pal. You can see the great tutorial by Lauren aka MyTime on their site. I also need to mention that my prima was inspired by the lovely work Markie's Mom has been doing with primas. I don't yet own the fern punch so I punched snowflakes and chopped them to pieces and BOY, DID I GO CRAZY!!

Wonderful card - and so meaningful. Love the verse you used. We know personally how tough it is to have a soldier you care about stationed in Afghanistan - I am certain this will be appreciated...
