The challenge was to use specialty paper and I will freely admit that this is an accident that this card happened to fit this category.
I was just making a card and decided to use the mulberry paper from Business Strategies in Kemptville and the backgroung becasue it looked nice. I only found out what the challenge was after the card was finished.
This is my friend Pat's birhtday card and the images are all hand drawn by myself. The dog is Jeffery, Pat's dog. I was trying to make a card with him on it for her and he is a shorter-haired husky and is red. I didn't get his face colouring quite right but it was close enough and I'm happy with how it all turned out.
The images are water coloured with Tombow markers. If you want a tip about how to make nice shiny spots on balloons just colour them and then add a puddle of water on top where you want the glare and then put your finger in a paper towel and dab to lift the colour and voila!
This card is 6 1/4 inches square and so a single sheet of paper was too small so I folded it at 6 1/4 and then just overlapped the main panel so it was centered over the entire width and placed white inside the card which in real life you can see on the right side of the image.
Hope you like my card and TFL!

Wow! What an artist you are! I can't believe you drew that image yourself! You could be a stamp designer! I love the mulberry paper. And thanks for the tip on making the 'glare' in the baloons. Great idea!
