What a fun challenge, Judy! For something borrowed, I did a shameless case of a card by cmc2stamp (Connie) The cardstock is blue; something new (for me, anyway) is this technique where the background is stamped in white, then different images are overstamped in black. Something old is doing the dots and faux brads.
I didn't have the gorgeous images Connie used so I came up w/ my own version. I stamped the bg images in white (Autumn Leaves) and heat set them. Then I stamped the second set of images (Inkadinkado) on top w/ black ink. I used a black fine tip marker to draw in some grassy sprays and swirls. I used a white gel pen to put in all the dots you see.
I also stamped the strip w/ white and sponged on a little jade ink to vary the color a little. Then all the layers were put together and I punched four black circles and attached in the corners.
