Hi! This card was made for today's Ways to Use it Challenge: Sharpen Up! We were to use Colored Pencils!
So....Since Speedy the Cat was DRIVING ME CRAZY by dropping this stamp set REPEATEDLY on my face last night while I was SLEEPING, it was predetermined that I would be using this set.
I made the card for Ken, Vicky Gould's son, who has undergone MAJOR surgeries for a Bike injury. I sure hope he likes butterflies, because Speedy the Cat thinks he does!
I stamped the image with Noir Black Palette Hybrid Ink onto WATERCOLOR paper....Yes, watercolor paper. Then, I colored areas with woodless colored pencils. I used odorless mineral spirits and a blending stump. Next, for SPARKLE, I added Polished Pigments for color! I just brushed it on, into the damp area left from the blending! WOW! (I posted a mini tutorial on my blog!)
I cut out the image and popped on dimensionals and layered onto the Nestibilities Ovals. Then, I added the gemstones!
Dots were added with a marker and Inkssentials pen.

What a fantastic butterfly (and although that psycho cat chose it - I must admit he had great taste!) Ken will love this card - Michelle and Nicole will want it!! All those brads and layers, WOWEE, wow, wow! Thanks so much, GF!
