I'm catching up on a few old sketch challenges. I like this hostess set. The card is fairly plain. I'm not sure if it is too plain. I was considering using this for a Mega Meeting swap in a couple of weeks. I'll make a few variations on it to see which one I will end up using. Should I add brads somewhere, or ticket punch the corners? Maybe a background stamp to give the olive some texture? Does it look too Christmas-y? Any other ideas to jazz it up?

I really like this card, and I'm tempted to say *it looks great!*...but you sound like you're looking for feedback, so I'll try to help.
I like the color choice...very autumn-ish (i.e. not too Christmasy).
Want to step it up? Use your stamp-a-ma-jig and emboss the words and flower/leaf outlines with chocolate chip craft and clear EP. If you feel you need to, you could add 3 aged brass brads to the upper left corner in a horizontal row, but, honestly, I don't think it needs them.
I hope that helps, and thanks for sharing! The down side? Now this is just one more set that I *need*. LOL

Looks great, Donna! (I can't wait to get one!) I love that it is simple ... perfect for my style ... and of course I love the colours. I don't think that i really needs any changes!

It is a great card!! It does not look like christmas, more like 'earthy' to me! A row of metal brads along the top left would look great, but I would leave it as is!
I have this set on my wish list! Now if only I was hostess!!
Your card caught my eye because of the colours and the simple yet elegant design. I think it's perfect the way it is but I love simple clean designs. Thanks for sharing and I will be casing this as just got this set and am itching to use it.
