This is my submission for Krista's VSN book themed challenge... to use twine as an integral part of our card. The card had to be finished in 45 minutes.
Getting these challenges done in 45 minutes has been the biggest challenge for me! I have decided that I really NEED to put more time into my cards! It takes me 45 minutes to decide what to do! LOL!
I decided to use an old set, Monkey Business for this challenge. I had this idea about replacing the branch in the stamp set with twine and I wove some around the main piece to look like vines in the jungle. That was my plan. Not sure I accomplished it, but hey, what do you want in 45 minutes? LOL!
The unknow green bg is run through the CB with a Fiskars "grass" texture plate, which doesn't show well in the picture. I cut out the monkey and leaves and banannas. The sentiment is stamped in Chocolate Chip and not matted at all.
This was fun in spite of the fact that it didn't come out like I had pictured in my mind!
Thanks for looking!

This looks great! The twine makes it look so organic. You did a fabulous job with the challenge!

What a cute card and how original is this!!! Your gallery is to die for. I wish I had more time to go through it this evening, but I'll be back for sure! And I can totally relate to needing 45 min (or more) just to figure out the card you'd like to make! LOL. Sometimes, and not very often, I know EXACTLY what I'm going to do and the logistics get in the way, adding way more time than fathomanable! And then I can never photograph it just right! (Such is life ... LOL)
You are so incredibly talented. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful cards with those of us who are just ramping up!
