My card was inspired by my favorite childhood books, the Little House on the Prairie Series by Laura Ingalls Wilder. Specifically, I remember that Laura always had to get a red dress due to brown eyes and hair and Mary had blue because her eyes were blue....so, though my card might have looked better in Night of Navy, it is Ridinghood Red. I always felt sad for Laura. :)
Also, a favorite story from the series was.....Mr. Edwards brought their Christmas candies and small gifts from Santa Claus because Santa couldn't get through the blizzard for the girls' presents. :)
There are a few issues on my card that would have been easy to fix with just a bit more time, but alas...only 1 minute left when I shook the glitter off :)

Your card is lovely, and I love your explanation! I, too, was a Laura Ingalls Wilder fan. I never watched the show, but I read every one of the books back in the 60's! I'm afraid I don't remember any details now, but I know how much I loved the books. The bookmobile came to the end of our street on Thursdays, and I always checked first to see if there were any Little House on the Prairie books!
Thanks for the memories!
Wonderful card! Love it! Love the whole Laura Ingalls bit too! It was one of my favorite shows and now my daughter loves the reruns and the books. So great to be able to share that with her. Will have to show her this. She'll like it too! TFS
