I was a local mom and pop store and I saw this and thought to myself I can do this. I changed a few things they did. (Theirs was just plain sheet metal with vinyl lettering or stenciling for words on the wood.) I embossed baroque motifs swirl on the sheet metal and inked a chipboard letter for the monogram. The flowers in the upper right corner are magnets that I made using some making memories metal flower charms.
For the base I cut a 2x4 slightl larger than the metal and cut a slit in the middle to hold the metal up. I then painted it and added the rubon word memories. This can serve as a picture frame, a message board, etc.
I made this for my secret sister - I just mailed it so I am counting on her not checking my gallery.
thanks for looking.
