Here is my first attempt at Faux Silk. What a fun technique. I look forward to sharing it with my clients. I used the green buttons from the Bold Brights button set because that is all I had, but I dipped them into the Garden Green Stamp Pad to help them match better.

Here are the directions I got from northernstamper today. If you click on faux_silk in the keywords above you will go directly to a gallery of faux silk cards. Anyway, here are the instructions I used. Cut a piece of tissue paper a bit bigger than the cs you plan to cover. Press tissue paper into inkpads to cover. Wrinkle tissue paper and flatten out. Cover cs with elmers glue , Press wrinkled tissue into glue on cs wrapping overhang to back and glue down. Direct to paper with a darker ink to show wrinkles of tissue. Let dry then layer your card. Thank you to northernstamper for sharing them with us.

This is just gorgeous! You did a wonderful job on this card!! I tried the tissue paper technique on one card but I didn't have instructions, so I used the wrong kind of glue and it stayed sticky after it was dry!! It was so bad I threw it away! Now that I see yours, I may have to try it again. Thanks for the inspiration. Your card is beautiful.
