I made this last night for my boyfriend as he is laid up with tonsilitis and generally feeling very sorry for himself.
We live a good distance from each other so I can't be there to look after him - the least I could do was send a card, poor man.
He loves suns - as do I - so I used my old favourite Rubber Stampede large sun. And inside the card is stamped "sending warm thoughts your way"
The sun was stamped with terra cotta Ranger pigment ink onto watercolour paper, and then coloured with Lyra watercolour crayons.
Once it had dried I coloured it all over with a Versamarker pen and then embossed with one layer of clear UTEE. and then sprayed all over the top with orange and gold Glimmer Mists. (I wiped the spray off the embossed sun while it was still wet with a paper towel)
Once this was dry I distressed the edge of the paper panel and inked it with the terracotta ink - and then attached that to a yellow card blank with large yellow eyelets.
The little red arrows are scraps from a panel I made for another project with the Swiss Dots cuttlebug panel
Get well soon Ian! xxx
