Whew! This has been a rough day!!! My computer crashed this morning... I mean dead! So I had to spend the day first on line with HP, then running to get my files backed up before sending it away. Ugh... then I got out this old clunker and no photo editing options. So I downloaded that... then camera wasn't set up on the computer... took me forever to figure that out! LOL! But... not to be defeated... here is is!
I made this card for my best friend whose Mother is dying... it will be any day. It's been so hard on her, because her dh is also dying of leukemia. Talk about a full plate! But her faith is so strong, she is just remarkable! She loves pinks and soft colors so I focused on the softer of the colors, using just a touch of ruby red in the watercoloring of the flowers.
I stamped the flowers twice in Close to Cocoa and colored them with ink in the lid, and highlighted with marker. I then painted several coats of Shimmerz "Angel Wings" on them. The photo doesn't show it but they really do shimmer. I also added crystal stickles to them... that also doesn't show. The sentiment is an "innie - outie". The inside says "Our hearts and prayers and our love are with you". I also decorated the inside with the small blossoms.
The rest of the card is very simple... for the occasion I didn't want too cluttered... just soothing and simple.
Thanks so much for looking!

Wow, you have had quite the day and you still stamped after all that. Good for you. I love this card. The scallops, the dots and the flowers really set it off.

Oh Grace, I believe this beautiful card is perfect for your friend. My heart breaks for her as she endures this journey with her mother and husband dying...it is so sad. I'm so glad that she is a woman of great faith...the Lord will be her strength and shield through the storm. Hugs to her!

Sorry to hear about your computer woes, Grace, but so glad we got to see your lovely card. Sorry also for the sad reason you made it, but I am sure your friend will be touched by your kindness and caring during this difficult time. Your card is soft and beautiful with a wonderful sentiment and it will surely mean a lot to her. TFS!

You had your hands full today, but you were not daunted in your stamping. This is so pretty. That's a very nice sentiment stamp and your flowers look good 'outside the box' a little bit like that. Good job.
