I used versamark and stamped my design to resist the ink I used for direct to paper. I then over stamped the design with the burgundy color and then stamped the black. After that I cut the design in even strips, keeping them in order. I then layed them out on a strip of cardstock that had been run through the xyron to keep the strips in place. I then run all the strips attached to the strip of card stock through the Xyron again and attached it to the black background. Bargello is a form of needlework that looks like the strips of paper only in embroidery. So I guess you would say this is faux Bargello. Hope this helped with your question.
