I didn't plan on making another card for this particular challenge, but this card ended up that way. I was just wanting to try sewing on a card! LOL Here's what happened.......
I had to make some new covers for my truck seat, which meant I had to pull out the sewing machine. I thought, well since I have it out I might as well try sewing on a card. So, I stamped the sunflower and sewed around it. This is my first card to have real sewing on it! lol Set it aside and did a few chores.
When I returned, I colored the sunflower with prismacolor pencils and gamsol, then versa marked and clear eb it. Cut it out and sponged the inside of the stitching with sailboat blue, and the edges with tea dye.
I took a piece of white cs and painted the yellow and white squares on the edges. Then I sponged them with tea dye, versa marked and clear eb them. Sponged garden green on the bottom, and used my cloud stencil from Rosie's Roadshow for the clouds.
Cut out a circle for the sun using my coluzlle, sponged it with summer sun, pumpkin pie and really rust. Cut the circle to fit the corner, doodled the edges.
Took a white card, sponged edges sailboat blue, glued on the background paper I just made. Doodled the edges, then glued on the sunflower and sun.
I stamped the duck, colored with white acrylic paint and sunset orange, shading with ginger. Cut it out and popped it up. Hope you get a chuckle out of this! TFL :0)

This card is GORGEOUS!! Really caught my eye. I'm so glad you explained the steps for what you did, I'd never have figured that out and I was REALLY wondering how you got it to POP like that! Great Job! TFS!

Your card looks like 3D. The duck appears to be walking up to the flower. I really do not know how you accomplish that look. Great stitching and great coloring!!! Love the duck! TFS.
