Default WSC - Cupcakes anyone? (08.11.2010)
I'm so happy to have made some time to actually STAMP this week! Mind you, I'm apparently a bit rusty, but eh, that's what happens.... This week on <a href="http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/my-favorite-things-design-team-f165/wsc-cupcakes-anyone-08-11-2010-a-t502129.html">WSC</a> we are all about the cupcakes!

I decided to ink up <a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=7_47">Birthday Girl a la mode</a> and using Barbara's <a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=49&amp;products_id=956">Cup cake Card Template</a> (and my Cricut, which I {heart} since it does all the cutting for me!) I created a cupcake birthday card.

First up, I cut out the cupcake file on <a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=52&amp;products_id=613">Hot Fudge</a> card stock, and then the frosting file in <a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=52&amp;products_id=615">Pin k Lemonade</a> and the <a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/catalog/advanced_search_result.php?search_in_description=1 &amp;keywords=gingham&amp;x=0&amp;y=0">Brown Gingham DIGI </a>paper pack. I decided I needed a felt cherry on top, so I created one using the <a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=877">Die-namics Sunshine Die</a> and <a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=853">Banana Split Felt</a>. I cut out the inner circle of the die and then hand cut a stem.

Then I CRAZY struggled with how to fit my image on the outside of the card, and then got impatient, gave up and put her on the inside instead!

I repeated the pattern of the <a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/catalog/advanced_search_result.php?search_in_description=1 &amp;keywords=gingham&amp;x=0&amp;y=0">Gingham DIGI paper pack</a> on the inside, this time trimmed out with our <a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=878">Jumbo Ric Rac </a>Die-namics.

Super simple and super sweet! Just the way I like 'em...

Ooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhh, I LOVE cupcakes! I also used Barbara's fabulous template for my card. I don't have one of those fun machines yet so I did it the old school way! I used the PDF document and cut it out with scissors.

I had a hard time deciding which MFT cupcake set I wanted to use, MFT has so many great cupcake sets! lol I ended up using the new à la modes Birthday Girl. i just love these new à la modes stamps!

I can't wait to see what you all come up with this week!

these are all adorable!! i LOVE the new á la modes & cupcake template! we're off to MI for the weekend- hoping there'll still be some time to play when we get back- but i can't wait to drool over all the yummy creations!!

Cindy how did you get the cupcake wrapper to look like that?? Is that paper pieced?? Hard to tell in the pic. That BUN on the on BIG cupcake, so stinkin' cute!!!!

WOW! All of the cupcakes so far are AMAZINGLY FANTASTIC!!!!!

I was so bummed because I don't have any MFT cupcakes! But, then I saw Kim's card and inspiration hit!!! Hopefully I can squeeze some time in to make one in between getting ready to head for the beach!!!

I coulda SWORN I bought the template the other day but can't find it in my saved files!!!!! SO... I'm thinkin the square card will be like the cupcake PAN!
