Another week and so many of you played along, Thank you!! We all have loved your amazing creations for our Cookin' Up Some Love challenge last week.
You all continue to raise the bar week after week! So, with that in mind, I know you're ready for our next challenge......My Favorite Things - and in this case it is based on the song from the Sound of Music.
Our Challenge Team is ready to inspire you on this challenge, because we know that this one will require a *little* bit more imagination....
How about the lyrics to the song as a reminder of the MANY things that you can pull inspiration from for this challenge?
"Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things
Cream colored ponies and crisp apple streudels
Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
These are a few of my favorite things
Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winters that melt into springs
These are a few of my favorite things
When the dog bites
When the bee stings
When I'm feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don't feel so bad"
To play along, you'll want to add your project to the Splitcoast Stampers Gallery using the Keyword MFTWSC11172010
This challenge stumped me at first but once I warmed up to the idea it was pretty easy! I think I was over thinking it! lol I created a cute little mitten gift card holder using a few Die-namics and a sentiment from the new Snowflake Flopsey set.
Great interpretations, ladies! It's so fun to see what every one is doing with this challenge -- the sky's the limit! I was inspired by "warm woolen mittens," "snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes," and "silver white winters that melt into spring" to create this snow globe card featuring cutie-patootie Wyatt and his frosty friend:
Oh wow, how fun is this! I have some ideas, hoping to get my card done this time! I love the samples ladies, they are stunning!

I needed to make another one of these - a more masculine version - so this challenge really gave me the impetus to go ahead and get it done. So thanks! It's on my blog:
I tried to capture what I think the meaning behind the song is...that even in our darkest hours, the winter times of our lives, we know spring will come again.
I created a flip out panel to reveal the springtime leafy tree behind the winter barren leafless tree in Tea with Flopsey.
My first time playing... just had my card finished and than I stumbled upon this challenge I think that warm woolen mittens might be my most accurate inspiration... although mine is a 'woolen' cap
I've also got a snowflake!

Hello All!
I finally finished mine, sorry for the delay.
I am going to take some much needed advise from Jody and work on projects ahead of time!!!
My line I took inspiration from is "Snowflakes that say on my nose and eyelashes", I think Fred and his friend are singing that!
Great cards and projects so far!!! I need to go back and comment when I am not on a hand-held device. Lol. It's too cumbersome.
What does everyone have planned for this weekend? Me? Hopefully lots of stamping and my stamp room is in need of a cleaning. My desk is covered and I am drowning in ribbon. I need to put everything in it's place so I can start over again. Lol
