How does this look for FAUX TWILL TAPE? Faux Twill Tape! I used a peice of knit fabric, brayer, close to cocoa ink and very vanilla cardstock to create this effect!
Hey Kurtis... Looks good.
In case anyone would want a rubber stamp to do the trick go to Cornish Heritage Farms website. Look for the "Rice Paper Backgrounders Stamp." It really has the "V" design of twill tape.
I really like this stamp and figured it would go well with twill tape. But I had to work on the tape a lot to make it look "old-fashioned." All the tape at Wal-mart is polyester. Where do you go to buy cotton twill tape?
Here's my attempt at using twill. It's called Hearts and Flowers. This is a card CASED from Dee(princessambrosia61). Dee said she couldn't get hers to stay shut. On mine the twill slides to keep the card closed. Thanks Dee!
Missed the challenge last night so I combined Friday's challenge with this one. I used twill tape to create a frame around a stamped image. Also meet a couple of other challenges at the same time. Faux Layered Tree
I decided to try dying my twill, so I let it soak in a mug of tea overnight. The tea wasn't very strong so the color change isn't too noticeable unless you put the card up to twill straight from the package. Anyway, here's the link:
I finally got one done. I bought twill at JoAnn's but your twill looks like cotton and this isn't cotton. Picnic

Just too late for anybody to ever read this--I found something to substitute for cotton twill if you don't have any--shoestrings!

On my card from the LSC61 this week I used a bit of frayed black twill to look like a little hairdoo on the pup. Guess this counts but actually by the time I was done with it, it was just black thread. lol
A what the heck here it is anyway: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...69115&cat=5564

I have had the twill tape since it has come out, but I have just not found a way to use it. Well I decided to find a way to use it and it was not really hard to do and I really liked it. I love the way you can stamp on it and the texture it gives to your cards. http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...33454&cat=7225
