MamaPickle,
You said that VersaMark can be used for embossing, "as a watermark and for chalking." Can you point me in the right direction for info on "watermark" and "chalking." I haven't been able to find anything in SCS techniques. Thanks.

Here is a tutorial about the chalks: Splitcoaststampers - Poppin’ Pastels Technique Tutorial by Beate Johns

You basically stamp the image with versa mark and then apply chalk to the image. The chalk sticks to the ink. I love this technique.

What I mean by watermark is you stamp on a colored CS and it darkens it. I couldn't find an actual tutorial on here but my card here MamaPickle mono may swap by MamaPickle - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers

I used just VersaMark for the image on the base. Hope that helps, just let me know if you need more.

Teresa, thanks so much for answering so quickly. Now I understand how to get more out of my VersaMark pad and how to use my chalks in a better way. Yay!

I only "discovered" Versamark in December - yeah, I know - it's been around forever! Once I saw someone actually using it in a video, the light bulb went off and I love it! Guess I am a bit late for this challenge LOL!

I made a card for my nephew's birthday - he is a professional musician.

I used the Versamark on my card to make my own glitter cardstock to add black glittery stars around my main image which I have explained in more detail in my Card Description.

Here it is: Hope your birthday ROCKS! TIA for peeking
