WT281 - Wonderful Woodgrain (07/29/10)
Hi there!
I'm helping Julia out today as things in her world are really busy. Today's challenge is all about woodgrain. It's everywhere right now. I've seen it in stamps, patterned paper, impression plates, embossing folders and many other places, I'm sure! You've got it, let's see it!
What...you say you don't have any? Okay then, here are some DIY ideas:
Faux Woodgrain tutorial with Craft inks
Faux Woodgrain tutorial with Classic and Craft inks
Faux Woodgrain tutorial with scoring
Faux Wood Frame technique
Please remember to put WT281 in your keywords section and post a link back here. We'd all love to see your work! Please link only newly uploaded creations for this challenge. We want to get you thinking and creating and having fun!
My sample: Distressed Woodgrain
WT281 Gallery Submissions
Thanks so much for playing along! I can't wait to see what you make! Have a fabulous day!

I am going to have to do this, after the weekend of camping.
I purchased some of the actual thin woodgrain paper, not
sure what I was going to do with it

Toni, thanks for a great challenge. I haven't used this in a long time and have always made masculine cards. Today I made a feminine card. Here's my card.

So pleased, as this looks twenty times better than the last time I tried Faux Wood and decided it wasn't for me!

No woodgrain stuff, so I checked out the faux woodgrain tutorials. Didn't like the idea of messing up a good ink pad with white craft ink, so I made up my own "technique" and like the woodgrain feel I ended up with. Here's my card:
Back to School
