What a fun challenge-- I combined dry embossing with heat embossing, so a little hard to tell in the pic, but it does make a difference for dimension IRL!!!

Here's mine:

What a blast from the past. I have not had my stylus out, well I can't remember the last time I used it. That is why it took me all morning to find it. This card is cased from one of Julia's cards

Thanks for another great challenge and challenge it was.

Oh my gosh this is killing me. I packed all my stencils and stylus!! Ahhhhh. I would have loved to have done this challenge. Guess I will have to keep it in mind for when we finally get to TX, oh 2 weeks is way to long. It's always a joy working with limited supplies!

It is possible to emboss without a stencil and light table. I've seen it done this way - Just lightly stamp your image on the back of your cardstock, then just trace the image with your stylus. You will want to put a placemat or something softer underneath so the paper can actually take the impression. Don't press so hard that you poke through the paper with your stylus.

Many have done it this way, and some have left great directions - search for dry emboss in the gallery.

Here's my card for this challenge. I needed a baby card so I thought I would combine the two cards. I really love dry embossing! I don't mind the time it takes and I like the variety of hand-embossing over the 'Bug for my cards.

HERE'S one I made when I was jealous of all those cards using the cuttlebug(that I still don't have)...but the FLOWER BOUQUET punch makes a great dry-embossed look!

You just punch out the flowers on a black square piece of cardstock and use the punched out part for the dry embossing template...if you take good care of it, you don't have to make a new template every time. It will last.

thanks:

http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...4&ppuser=73695

I'll try to do another tonight

Ok ladies, where there is a WILL there is a WAY!!! I posted earlier that my stenciles and stylus where packed. I have to admit I am a stampin' addict after figuring this one out!!
1. Have On Board Accents? Punch them out and use the wholes for stencils.
2. Have a blunt pencil with no lead? Use it for your stylus, just press gently.

So here is my Dry Emboss card!! TFL!!
