Finally got today's card done! Whew! The background is Polished Stone (without metallic markers), on Glossy White. It's a birthday card for a friend who loves anything to do with the beach.

Thanks for looking!

Here's mine - this is actually my first time to play with the glossy paper -a gift from my former DDSS - Inkybutton - so I used an easy method - dry embossing and brayering.

This is similar to an addictive drug...

Instead of working on taxes while my son napped, I pre-cut crdst. for a stamp class I'm having next week and then decided (oh, let's just check what today's challenge is...)

So here's mine:

http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...09279&cat=5881

THANKS FOR A GREAT CHALLENGE: I HAD FUN

I love glossy paper so much, I counted 20 cards in my gallery of barely 100 cards that use glossy as the main CS. I did one new one today (no time for another one now) but thought I'd share one of my older, long-time favorites. Thanks for looking!

I'm under the weather with laryngitis and sinus problems, so I'm going to have to "cheat" on this challenge and post links to cards already in my gallery, but I hope you enjoy.

I'm disappointed with how my photo turned out in the gallery. It looked good in my photoshop program but here the Mellow Moss looks all washed out. Oh well. I need to get some dinner for hubby and I. Here's mine:

OK as I said in my description, this was my first time

a) using glossy paper (actually photo paper)
b) doing faux linen, and
c) using the rock 'n roll technique

THANK YOU to Jeanne S for her inspiration and tutorial!!!

Here it is:

http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...0&ppuser=42405

(What is faux linen supposed to look like, anyway? Are you supposed to be able to feel/see the texture? I wonder if my sandpaper was too fine (150) cuz it's more like suede than linen LOL)

TFL!

Whew! I just typed the description 3 times, and lost it twice to a bad server response.
I wanted to try the Versamark on glossy - am not sure I really followed directions, but I did like the result - kind of like poppin' pastels. Now I need to learn how to color in an image stamped with Stazon. The ink just sat there - guess that is the nature of glossy!

My second one:
