Next to being somewhat of a Designer Paper hoarder, I have to say ribbon comes next. While my stash is quite extensive, sometimes I can't seem to find just the right shade of ribbon I'm looking for or one that fits the card. My challenge to you today is:
ALTERED RIBBON
Take any ribbon you have - this can include TWILL - SEAM BINDING - CROCHETED trim - basically anything you'd find in the ribbon section of your local stamp/scrapbooking store or craft store - please don't consider twine, however.
The trick is - ALTER your ribbon in any way you see fit. You can dye it by air brushing it, dragging it across your ink pads, tie dying, etc. - You can distress it or even stamp on ribbon (I LOVE how this looks) ...
Please remember to use Keyword: WT333 when uploading your card. Click here to view the ALTERED RIBBON Gallery.

I just did this with the CC on Tuesday! I took some of MFP's gorgeous white lace, dragged it across the daffodil delight pad and it looked bad. I was determined to get it how I wanted so I sprayed the lace with water and it turned out beautifully....though it was hard waiting for it to dry so I could finish my card.

Loved this challenge and tried to do something I've never done before as well. Here is my first sample.
Here's my second sample.

Okay, you guys are all so creative! So my first attempt at altered ribbon leaves me with brown stained hands, table, and anything else within spraying area...tried to use the heat gun to "heat set" and ended up melting the lace and having this weird "fishy" odor in the room. :P
On to my second attempt, color with Copic. No stains, much cleaner, no shrunken ribbon, no strange smells... end result? Altered Love Story ... MUCH better!
