WT67 - Open up

This week is another rerun week for the Way's to Use it Challenge. This week the challenge is to use envelopes in your work. There has been a request for ideas for the 5 in 1 envelope maker so you get "extra points";) for using that if you have one. Feel free to share any hints or tips you may have on this thread.

Here is the link to the past envelope challenge if you wish to take a peak...

WT31 - envelopes

As always, please remember to put WT67 in your keyword section. Please separate your keywords with commas if you wish to put mulitple keywords in. Post a link back here as well so that we can all view your work. This is not a contest or race, just a way to stretch your creativity and inspire. There is no time or posting limit so make as many as you wish.

Have a great day and I wish you all a safe and happy Canada Day and Fourth of July,

Pink-fish 06-29-2006 03:40 AM

Me too! I haven't done a challenge in a week! And my 5 in 1 envelope maker has been sitting here never used for 4 months!!! Today is the first day with everyone home from school and we are trying to do strawberries and get ready for company for the long weekend. What are the odds?:(

katieg 06-29-2006 03:45 AM

Sounds like fun, thanks Julia!

stampscout 06-29-2006 03:45 AM

Great Julia. Thanks for the heads up in S/talker thread.

jsbrooketrout 06-29-2006 03:46 AM

Oh....darn it!! I just remembered my friend has my envelope templates........
Maybe I can just decorate a regular one?
I will get them from her later today!

stampertammy 06-29-2006 03:49 AM

I did this card for a graduation last month, using an envelope. But I'll do something else for this challenge when I get home from work. I have lots of mini-envelopes from Hollo's!

bensarmom 06-29-2006 03:52 AM

Julia,
Off to find some envys............can't wait to try this. Thanks for the challenge.

Jerri Kay 06-29-2006 03:52 AM

Thanks for a great challenge Julia. I have that 5-in-1 template and have never used it. Hope I can play and get challenged into learning how to use the template.

Clownmom 06-29-2006 03:58 AM

I bought the 5-in-1 envelope template and have NEVER used it. I'm going to give it a try for this challenge. Will get busy when I get home from work tonight. Thanks, Julia, for spurring me on!

CardFanatic 06-29-2006 04:00 AM

I usually ignore the envelope. I NEED this challenge. I have invitations to make for DS's birthday. Matching envies would be so cool! Thanks for the kick in the pants! :p

Me too! hehe. Thanks for the reminder! I was briefly stumped for a moment there. Thanks Julia, for the challenge. I'll definitely be stamping outside my "zone" today!

kellymartin 06-29-2006 04:12 AM

I so need to do a challenge, haven't done one all week...BUT, I just got my catties in the mail today! So, I think I might be otherwise engaged :) Have fun gals!

dawnmercedes 06-29-2006 04:25 AM

Well, either I"ll have to do this super quick or later as I get to see an official copy of the the new catty at 10 am today! This might be a great challenge...we should ALL have envies!

dawnmercedes 06-29-2006 04:26 AM

Oh yeah...I think I have a handful of mini Hollo's envies...thanks for the reminder!

BadSherry 06-29-2006 04:30 AM

Too cool -- don't have the 5-in-1 template, but I do have others! Thanks Julia this should generate some very interesting cards today!

notimetostamp 06-29-2006 04:35 AM

Oh, I recently got the 5 in 1 and have never used it -- I want to play so badly -- we have overnight guests all week -- but I'll sure try!!!

Faereygirl 06-29-2006 04:40 AM

Grrr...I don't have any templates...that's ok! I'll make one! :P:P:P

Wendy G 06-29-2006 04:42 AM

Great challenge Julia! I hope I get to play. I'm going to the hospital this morning to have injections in my neck...OUCH! They are putting me under for this proceedure. I'm supposed to take it easy for 24 hours. I hope I don't really have to do that. :( I'll be checking in to see everyone's work later on and I still hope to get to play.

stampkinz 06-29-2006 04:43 AM

What a perfect challenge! I was just thinking that I needed to start decorating my envies to match the cards. I don't have the template so I'll have to stick w/my existing. Or.....this would be a great reason to buy the mini envelope punch I've been wanting....hmmmm... :)

Here's the envelope http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...0&ppuser=36846

Things I learned from SCS -

Here are a couple of envelopes I used in projects. I hope this qualifies for the challenge. I've used envelopes to make gift card holders which is a great idea that I got from this site. The first two are made from using regular #10 envelopes and the third is the large greeting card envelope (5-3/4" x 8-3/4")

This is holding a candy bar.

Here it is showing the candy bar inside: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...8&ppuser=46645

Here's one that I used for a gift card--Same premise as above.

Here's a gift card holder made with a large greeting card envelope which I also learned from another SCS member. These might still be pending as I had to re-upload them to my gallery because I previously deleted them.

SEALED WITH A KISS

This was a fun challenge. I have always wanted to make one of these envelope books and now I have. I inserted a few of my favorite stamped sentiments. It was hard to add this to a certain gallery since I used so many stamps from differents sets. This was fun...and more time consuming than I realized but it was fun.

Thanx for the challenge.

seewah 06-29-2006 05:48 AM

Hoping to play more today ... I really need to use my envelope templates more!

Here is my first card:

reneejul1 06-29-2006 05:54 AM

Well - back to fence making, may not ahve time to play today, but trust me - I will try!! Anyone have the new envie punch from Marvy? I don't so I will be using my mini envelope template, if I can get one done!

DeborahLynneS 06-29-2006 06:02 AM

Sounds like fun! I, too, do not own the five-in-one template, but will try to make a go of it regardless!

MadelinesMom03 06-29-2006 06:04 AM

Great challenge! Can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with!

Ooops! BUSTED! I bought this when it first came out. NEVER been used. I think I better do this one! Thanks for the push, Julia.

Julesiana 06-29-2006 06:31 AM

I love re-runs!!

I always miss them the first time around--like this one. I guess I can wait a day to do more laundry! ;)

auntie65 06-29-2006 06:42 AM

Here's mine. I really love this set and have to buy it. Of course the sample used the block background, but I follow my own ways. LOL
