Come play along...WT17 Ways to Use it Challenge!!
Once again it's Thursday and this week's challenge is an easy one so everyone can play along. This week your challenge is to use SPONGES or SPONGE DAUBERS in your work. Let's see how many different ways we can use them! IF you don't have any SU sponges, no problem. Cut up dollar store sponges work in a pinch as well.
Please remember to put WT17 in your keywords section and post a link back to this thread so we don't miss your work!
Have a wonderful, sun-shiney week,
Julia

Here is my first sponged card. I used sponging on the clear emboss resist technique.

Found these in my gallery, I used cotton wool on both of them but it still gives the same effect (I think)....

Son did the challenge!
My 10 yr old son made this for his older sister who has been at the beach with friends for the past week. He put some wavy crystal effects on the water.
At one point DH was with him going "no...that's not how you do it...let me show you..." about the sponging. It was like that commercial:
Paper.......$4.50
Ink Pads.......$4.95
Stamp Set.......$21.95
Father & Son Stamping Together.......PRICELESS!

I used a retired set for this challenge and the sea foam sponging worked great on the bottom portion. Ive made two so far and messed up one matching envelope, theyll be used for a Relay for Life fund raiser. My young friends husband is a cancer survivor and these are the color roses they used in their wedding flowers three years ago this month. He has been cancer free for about four years.
The Card is here.
Fun challenge Julia!
