Title: Consider the Cardstock
Hostess: Cheryl (Motherload)
Keyword: LoveVSBN08
Day/Date: Saturday, February 9, 2013
Time: 4pm EST
This VSBN, were revisiting past challenges, so heres one you may have missed the first time around: SBVC180 Consider the Cardstock .
The final issue of Scrapbooks, Etc. had a list of ways to dress up cardstock. Your challenge is to use at least two of these ideas on your next layout. This shouldn't be difficult if you're a cardstock junkie like me!
1. Die-cut it.
2. Ink its edges.
3. Emboss it.
4. Paint it.
5. Spritz it with water, crumple, and ink it when it's dry.
6. Layer punched designs on it to create your own cardstock.
7. Punch or die-cut a border on it.
8. Sand its edges.
9. Spritz it with ink.
10. Stain it.
11. Stitch it.
12. Weave it.
Here is the GALLERY for this challenge...leave a little luv for everyone!
UPLOADING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. To be considered for VSBN Recognition, ALL VSBN CREATIONS MUST BE UPLOADED BY 10:00 PM EST ON Sunday, February 17, 2013.
2. You have a total of 2 working hours to complete the challenge. Time spent is cumulative; just keep your total time per challenge under the 2 hour limit. Please be sure to write your description of how you interpreted this challenge in your Upload Description.
3. Please remember to put in the correct KEYWORD LoveVSBN08 when uploading your image; a wrong keyword means your submission may not be seen for consideration. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos.
It is also highly recommended that you post a link to your creation in this chat thread to be sure your layout is seen by the host and all visitors.
oo... am I really the first one here! that must mean I am all caught up...
I was thinking how cool that was, but then I started getting jealous! I have pictures laid out for a layout, but can't find paper to go with it. Do I have to count the amount of time I spend searching for paper as part of my two hours? LOL!

nah.... we'll keep that part between us... hehehehe...
Is your craft area a mess? Mine is a lost cause. I guess I don't put anything up when I finish a page before I begin the next one. I lost a photo that I was cutting a mat for. Stuff has poured onto the floor and into the tv room and onto the couch. Poor DH is watching basketball with a table of photos in front of him!!
Okay, finishing up this one. I did 3 techniques, punching, die cut, and embossing. Love this Cheryl!
Be back.
Sharon
My area is still neat, but only because I keep grabbing the same things.
This challenge is way out of my comfort zone, so I will have to think about it before digging in (and will completely destroy my craft area), however, I still have lots of catching up to do so I am going to continue to go backwards!!!

Here is mine; Enjoy Turned out kind of monochromatic. Seems, I like monochromatic.
thank you for the challenge. I have to go start chicken for dinner.
See ya all later. My area is just going to stay a mess till we are all done.
But look at how many pages we are getting done this week-end!

I'm back and my Desk/Floor is CHAOS! I'm driving myself crazy because I mixed up my photos, they're now not sorted and I have to keep going through them for the ones I want to use .... tonight I need to get them back in the box sorted by event so it's easier
I still have to upload the last challenge page and yesterday's that are done and laying here ... not helping!

You are SO right ... how could we have missed that one?

Maybe during the break I can get dinner for DH & get my other pages uploaded!

Mama's hungry! surprised the boys haven't squawked... too afraid to leave my crafty spot to find out... should have brought a snack in here!

thankfully i really had nothing in the house except some semi defrosted chicken, so I put it in the crock this morning with some spices and veggies, it smells good, normally i shred to make fajitas or tacos with, but i just put some brown rice on and will just have it over that with the broth, sort of soupy for hubby and me, not sure if the kids will eat any or not

Hi...I forgot that VSBN was today. Took DGS to bowling this morning and when I got home, I signed onto my work computer and worked all afternoon trying to get this new business up and running smoothly. But I'm here for the next challenge!
I realized that I used only cardstock on this one, and I splattered and distressed and fussed, as much as I could with digital. I love how this one turned out.
