Title: Basic Cloud Types

You have only to look up into the sky to try your luck at weather forecasting. Clouds give us a clue about what is going on in our atmosphere and how the weather might change in the hours or even days to come. Each type of cloud forms in a different way, and each brings its own kind of weather. Clouds can give us images which we can relate to, but only for a moment, then it is gone, like those moments when your child is laughing, or your summer picnic when it was a beautiful day, or the time when you have three (or more) generations of family together at a family reunion. They are captured in photos, and allow us to hold onto those moments, even though they have moved in time.

My challenge is this...

Use one of the four sketches given based on one of the four types of clouds
fun photos capturing one of those special moments
Use monochromatic color scheme using different shades of one color.
suggestion:Black and white photos pop when accented with a monochromatic color scheme, like bursting out of a cloud

Basic Cloud Types:

Cumulus- clouds are low individual billowy globs that are low, have flat bases and look a little like cauliflower. (cluster)

Stratus- clouds are layered and cover most of the sky.

Cirrus-clouds are high and thin and made entirely of ice crystals.

Cumulonimbus-cloud is tall, deep and dark and can bring lightning, heavy rain and even severe weather such as hail, damaging winds or tornadoes.

mines in process (just need a little journaling), but may have to wait till morning to finish I am getting tired, but it's actually coming together really quickly. Also I am assuming we are using the "L" keyword? I think it got posted twice by mistake, so just double checking

Wow... Charlsanne's headed to bed and I"m just getting to sit down... although I think I'm headed to bed as well. So glad about the hour we are gaining tonight... cuz I think I lost TWo of them today.... my master party planning is way behind and my behind is dragging way to far to keep on going for the evening

... Think I'll have hubby set the alarm so I can start fresh in the am.

I've been trying to peak at the challenges all day when I can... love the take on this one TAM!

I really love how the challenge hostesses take something and make it unique !

You guys enjoy your scrappy time! I'm getting anxious to get stuff back out next week... doing so many pages last month makes me itchy to keep going...!

I have a early morning church meeting in the morn and with the daylight saving thing.... I need to head to bed and sleep while I can, because I am really sure I will be wide awake at 2 instead of 3....

I hear ya, I'm driving a hundred plus miles tomorrow morning to meet a friend at one of the (somewhat) local scrappy stores! It's almost the halfway point between us, and they always have great prices, so it's worth the road trip. That and the only two LSS's we had in town (other than M's) are now both closed down, so we really *need* to drive at least 100 miles to get something specific!

Finished my page which started out to as a stratus but ended up with a small cumulus cloud also.....lol Can't get a good picture will have to upload tomorrow although I am so happy with this page I may keep trying to get a good pic tonight!

I finally got a decent picture......here's my cloud inspired page. A stratus cloud layered and covering most of the page.....with a small cumulus (cluster) at the bottom. TFL
