Arrow Saturday, 08/10/13 - 10 AM EST - TECH TALK 02 - Use it or Lose it

Title: Use It ... or Lose It
Hostess: Lela (scs: LMN)
Keyword: TechVSBN02
Day/Date: Saturday, August 10, 2013
Time: 1000

ohhhh ... if you're like me you've got lots of tools and punches stashed away for just the right moment. There is a chance that perhaps you and I even have one or two that haven't even been used, gasp! For this VSBN challenge, it was time to pull out the punches and see if I could come up with another use for them. I decided to use my edge punch to make a page background.

My Challenge to you ... use a tool (or if you're a digi-scrapper one of the elements you have) to try something new. Perhaps you use an edge punch to frame a picture, page or even make a background, use a hole punch to create a design. Digi Gals there are lots of opportunities for you too! I'm sure you have elements in your stash you could use for something fun

It's GOOD to USE It .... or (it will get buried in the stash) and you'll LOSE it.

My sample page: coming soon.
TechVSBN02 Gallery (coming soon)

I'm here! (with my foot up on the pillow yet) Have been trying to get DGS to make me breakfast but I fear I will probably starve unless I bribe him ;). I was actually looking through my digi stash last night for Sheri's challenge and found some really cool things. I'll have to try something else now too. I started last night's and got the back ground done...just need to do the rest of the page now

Talking Ugh

Terry, I chuckled at your post because I could picture it. The other day I had a terrible sinus headache so I was laying down. My son came into the family room as I was laying on the couch and said "Mom, how are you feeling?" I replied, "some better, thanks". He then said, "good, what's for dinner?" Ahhhh boys .... ;)

I've gotta run the dog to the groomer and stop at the post office and then I'll be back to play for the day I hope

I've started a page (actually the other side of last night's page) but I keep getting interrupted and it takes me so long to get from point A to point B. Finally got DGS to bring me some pop tarts so I haven't starved...lol! Then it took me about 1/2 hour to convince him to go upstairs and bring down all the dirty laundry. Boy did it take me a while to get the laundry going...didn't realize how high up that 2nd shelf is when you can't put pressure on one foot.

Good morning, ladies (guess it's afternoon already for some!) Just getting on my computer...10 am EST a little too early for me (7 my time!) Getting DH's cold and not feeling too chipper! Still trying to get my sample page done for later!

This looks like a fun challenge, Lela! Haven't decided if I'll go digi or paper for it. As I've been looking for supplies for my challenge paper page, I've been reminded of ALL THE STUFF I have! Now I have to get my foggy brain focused enough to decide what I want to do. Supposed to visit my mom later, so don't know if I'll get any challenges done today (other than my own.)

Here is a page using older/forgotten/neglected tools. I'm surprised I didn't get rid of it during my organization class.....

Here is page #2 using the same background from last night's challenge but using the cookie cutter tool which helped make the embellishments for this page.

Whoa, I found a dusty punch today that I don't think I have ever used!! It's pretty cool as it punches and embosses at the same time. I mean, I know cutting & embossing is nothing new but it is a design I don't remember using. I will have to come up with a page before the end of the week.
