VLVMAY2011 Sketch CHAMPIONS {post your links here!}
Post your Viva la Verve APRIL links here to be eligible for our May 2011 Viva la Verve prize drawing!!!
Please link all 5 of your fabulous creations in one post. Deadline is 11:59pm Central Time on Thursday, June 2. I've included links to all five challenges for reference. Good luck!!!
For a tutorial on adding links to posts click here.
And if you're new to the gallery, here's a little info on how to add your cards to our gallery:
If you haven't uploaded your cards yet, just click the Upload a Card link in the left sidebar. Keep the default category as Member Galleries. Then follow the form to browse to the photo of your card on your computer, enter a title and description then click upload/submit. On the next screen it asks you for the ingredients of the card and also has a Keyword section. In this section type the keyword for this month's challenges... VLVMAY2011. When you're done filling things out, click process. It takes a few minutes to show up in our challenge gallery but as long as you've got the correct keyword, your photo will eventually appear in the VLVMAY2011 Gallery.
If you've already uploaded your cards, you can edit the keywords by going to the photo in your gallery. In the bottom right corner under the information below the picture, there is an Edit Photo button. Click this, then in the Edit keywords section add the VLVMAY2011 keyword and then click process. These changes take about 10 minutes or so to appear, but then your card should appear in our challenge gallery.
Once your cards are all in the challenge gallery, just come back here and submit your four links to be entered into our drawing.
I really enjoyed the sketches this month. I made both my card and my son's card for my husband for Father's day, a miss you card for my friend that moved away, a birthday card for a 8-year-old's birthday party we went to, and added a thank you card to my stash (can never have too many).
Thanks for the inspiration!
Another month of fabulous sketches ... had a ton of fun putting them together ... was truly inspired by the gorgeous cards from all you talented ladies ... here is mine for the month of May ...
This is my first time entering cards for the Vive La Verve sketches - I hope I've done everything correctly. I am just beginning my Verve stamp collection, so I only have 4 sets so far, and 3 of them involve stars - LOL! It was a challenge for me to be unique with each sketch! But I love all the sets I have, and I hope to collect more (very) soon.
Anyway. I had a great time using these wonderful sketches, trying to improve my skills and learn new ways to create cards. Thanks for inspiring me and helping me to improve myself. Maybe next month I can keep up with the sketches week by week, rather than cramming them all in the last 5 days of the month!
Card 1 (Wedding Wishes) Card 2 (You Light Up My Life) Card 3 (Birthday Blessings) Card 4 (May Your Troubles Be Less) Card 5 (In The Palm of His Hand)
In by the skin of my teeth! Whew.
What the heck does that expression mean anyway!?!
Okay, I hope I am not over stepping here because it says "Sketch Champions" and I'm by no means a champion, but it says to post here if you want to win and I REALLY want to win!! So I'm going to give it a try ...
Thanks so much for looking and have a delightful day!
Huge Gratitude and Appreciation to the Divas and All those that played this month ... I can't tell you how much you have inspired me and I am so thankful for each bit of fabulous inspiration I receive from all of YOU! Thanks!!
This is my first upload and postings to my Splitcoast gallery. I hope I am doing it right - it was exciting to see my cards in the gallery and latest uploads. I am not sure how to attach links but I will try:
I have a dear friend who was recently diagnosed at Stage 3 for a very rare cancer and starts chemo treatments tomorrow. The Verve sayings are so appropriate to give support to she and her family. My first time trying some sketch challenges instead of copying and casing other designers. Great sketches and it was fun to play along
Hooray! I make a deal with myself each month that if I play along for all challenges in a month, I can buy some more Verve Stamps. I ordered over the weekend during the sale. Yippeeeee! Here are my cards:

This is the FIRST time that I have ever completed all of the sketches. I start each month because the sketches are fantastic, but then life gets in the way. This month, I had a huge new Verve purchase and I "forced" myself to ink each one up before I put the sets away! Here are my entries:
I had so much fun this month playing along with all of these wonderfully designed Verve sketches! Thank you so much for the inspiration...see my take on each sketch below!
