It's time for a new Viva la Verve sketch and I'm thrilled to be able to share it with you this week.
But first, a few details:
Every Friday, a Diva will post a sketch for your enjoyment. Your cards, using the sketches, must be uploaded by the last Thursday of the month (check for the due date below!) The winner will be announced on the next day and will win the ENTIRE next Verve stamp release! How awesome is that?! Just a reminder, Verve stamps are NOT required but we love to see you use them. Feel free to flip, rotate, resize, or otherwise alter the sketch as long as we can tell you USED the sketch!
For September, we'll have FOUR sketches! All four cards must be uploaded to the VLVSep2011 gallery by midnight, CST on Thursday, September 29th to be eligible to win this month's prize! Winner will be announced on September 30th! GOOD LUCK!
Keywords for the entire month will be VLVSep2011 and Verve (if using Verve stamps).
If you're new to the gallery, here's a little info on how to add your cards to our gallery:
If you haven't uploaded your cards yet, just click the Upload a Card link in the left sidebar. Keep the default category as Member Galleries. Then follow the form to browse to the photo of your card on your computer, enter a title and description then click upload/submit. On the next screen it asks you for the ingredients of the card and also has a Keyword section. In this section type the keyword for this month's challenges... VLVSep2011. When you're done filling things out, click process. It takes a few minutes to show up in our challenge gallery but as long as you've got the correct keyword, your photo will eventually appear in the VLVSep2011 Gallery
If you've already uploaded your cards, you can edit the keywords by going to the photo in your gallery. In the bottom right corner under the information below the picture, there is an Edit Photo button. Click this, then in the Edit keywords section add the VLVSep2011 keyword and then click process. These changes take about 10 minutes or so to appear, but then your card should appear in our challenge gallery.
For some inspiration, I've attached some samples made by the very talented divas Moe and Andrea!! Thanks guys!! The last one is my take on the sketch. I'm looking forward to seeing all your interpretations!!
Great sketch! Nice and intricate...no surprise there. I need to do week 2 before I tackle this one but will be staying tuned to see what everyone else does.
This was an awesome sketch to work with, Tosh! At first, I panicked - lol - but it fell into place easily once I got started! The samples are all so gorgeous! Here's my FEELING THE BLUES card.

Looking forward to seeing your week two, and what you do with this one Jennipher!

It's obvious the pieces fell into place Wanda!! This is gorgeous!! So glad you didn't let a little ole "panicking" stop ya!! Woo-hoo!
I struggled a bit with all the layers and paper choices for this one, and I have to say mine is a bit brighter and busier than I usually do...but I like it. I was anxious to use MFT's new Prima Donna flower Die-namic, so I substituted that in for the tag shape.
You all have been rocking this sketch. I know I included a lot of layers, but I sure have enjoyed seeing how you all piece patterns and colors together. Your cards are amazing!!
