Happy, happy Friday Verve fans!! I'm so excited to be hosting the Viva la Verve! challenge for this last week of July! It's no secret that I have a tiny obsession with hearts lately, so no surprise that one found its way on to my sketch for this week! Teeheee! No fears though, use whatever shapes tickle your fancy! I can't WAIT to see what you all create!!
Details:
Every Friday, a Diva will post a sketch for your enjoyment. Your cards, using the sketches, must be uploaded by the last Thursday of the month (check for the due date below!) The winner will be announced on the next day and will win the ENTIRE next Verve stamp release! How awesome is that?! Just a reminder, Verve stamps are NOT required but we love to see you use them. Feel free to flip, rotate, resize, or otherwise alter the sketch as long as we can tell you USED the sketch!
For July, we'll have FOUR sketches! All four cards must be uploaded to the VLVJul2011 gallery by midnight, CST on Thursday, July 28th to be eligible to win this month's prize! Winner will be announced on July 29th! GOOD LUCK! To make things easy, here's the link to the printable PDF sketchbook of all of July's sketches.
Keywords for the entire month will be VLVJul2011 and Verve (if using Verve stamps).

**Some Upload Information**
If you're new to the gallery, here's a little info on how to add your cards to our gallery:
If you haven't uploaded your cards yet, just click the Upload a Card link in the left sidebar. Keep the default category as Member Galleries. Then follow the form to browse to the photo of your card on your computer, enter a title and description then click upload/submit. On the next screen it asks you for the ingredients of the card and also has a Keyword section. In this section type the keyword for this month's challenges...VLVJul2011. When you're done filling things out, click process. It takes a few minutes to show up in our challenge gallery but as long as you've got the correct keyword, your photo will eventually appear in the VLVJul2011 Gallery.
If you've already uploaded your cards, you can edit the keywords by going to the photo in your gallery. In the bottom right corner under the information below the picture, there is an Edit Photo button. Click this, then in the Edit keywords section add the VLVJul2011 keyword and then click process. These changes take about 10 minutes or so to appear, but then your card should appear in our challenge gallery.
For a little end of July inspiration, I will leave you with some samples! The first is from the wildly creative Charmine, the next is from the truly talented Andrea, and the last one is from me!
Looks like a fun sketch, Laurie, and the samples are gorgeous - as usual!! Don't know when I'll get a chance to play along but I'll squeeze it in sometime before Thursday.

eek, I LOVE this sketch, Laurie...a little sad I can't play with it this week (will save it as a secret weapon for later!). I'm officially State side now and going to Archivers for the first time today!! I can only buy 13 pounds of paper before my suitcase is over the limit!! LOL Good thing flowers are light Will definitely keep peeking at the gallery to see all the Verveilicious eye candy

Such a great sketch this week! It's going to force me to be little crafty on my computer (oh why don't I have any heart dies?!), but I'm up for the challenge! Off to get crafty!
Oh WOW! LOVE LOVE LOVE this sketch! Just walked in the door from holidays and ... a good wife and mother would probably finish unpacking and cleaning up ~ but this Mama just wants to "play cards" ... after all; I have invested 3 cards in this month's challenges already so I kind of HAVE to play RIGHT!?!

I loved this sketch! I really didn't stray from it at all. The shape of the main panel is one of my favorite types to use, and I just love the Jotted Heart die.
Love the sketch! Not so fond of my card ... I'm definitely going to store this great sketch idea away though and try again!
In the meantime ... I think I'm just in by the skin of my teeth for entering in this month's challenge so I'm going to share it so I don't loose my "investment" in July's Verve Challenge!
And OH HAPPY DAY!! My new Verve goodies came while on was holidays ~ Now if only I had more time to play! The new July stamps are so BEAUTIFUL!!
