Howdy everyone!! It's week 2 for the Viva la Verve sketches, and I had the privilege of designing this one for you today. I hope you're inspired. I can't wait to see what you all do with it.
Details:
Every Friday, a Diva will post a sketch for your enjoyment. Your cards, using the sketches, must be uploaded by the last Thursday of the month (check for the due date below!) The winner will be announced on the next day and will win the ENTIRE next Verve stamp release! How awesome is that?! Just a reminder, Verve stamps are NOT required but we love to see you use them. Feel free to flip, rotate, resize, or otherwise alter the sketch as long as we can tell you USED the sketch!
For July, we'll have FOUR sketches! All four cards must be uploaded to the VLVJul2011 gallery by midnight, CST on Thursday, July 28th to be eligible to win this month's prize! Winner will be announced on July 29th! GOOD LUCK!
Keywords for the entire month will be VLVJul2011 and Verve (if using Verve stamps).

**Some Upload Information**
If you're new to the gallery, here's a little info on how to add your cards to our gallery:
If you haven't uploaded your cards yet, just click the Upload a Card link in the left sidebar. Keep the default category as Member Galleries. Then follow the form to browse to the photo of your card on your computer, enter a title and description then click upload/submit. On the next screen it asks you for the ingredients of the card and also has a Keyword section. In this section type the keyword for this month's challenges...VLVJul2011. When you're done filling things out, click process. It takes a few minutes to show up in our challenge gallery but as long as you've got the correct keyword, your photo will eventually appear in the VLVJul2011 Gallery.
If you've already uploaded your cards, you can edit the keywords by going to the photo in your gallery. In the bottom right corner under the information below the picture, there is an Edit Photo button. Click this, then in the Edit keywords section add the VLVJul2011 keyword and then click process. These changes take about 10 minutes or so to appear, but then your card should appear in our challenge gallery.

Tosh, I loved the sketch! Knew I wanted to use the sunny day verse from Text Objects and the circle was perfect for my sun. Thanks for a great sketch this week. My card's a bit bright, but hey, it's a Sunny Day

Mine's a little light on the actual stamping. I used a Heartfelt Phrases sentiment on a tiny banner and placed a sentiment on the inside instead. I love how much impact these tiny phrases can have (and look forward to receiving the new "Small Phrases" set, which is anything but small.
But I was really wanting to play with my Hana-Ami Flower Loom and some beautiful seam binding to try this flower/medallion shape out.
Hoping the colors work ok. It's a sympathy card, so I didn't want it too bright and cheery, but I also wanted to lift up the recipient, and these cool earthy colors make my spirit a bit happier when I look at them. I hope it conveys the same to her.
