Hi Verve fans! This is the thread where you can easily find the skinny on the latest and greatest Viva la Verve! challenges. First the answers to a few frequently asked questions...
What's a Viva la Verve!?
We're glad you asked! We love a good card layout to get the mojo flowing, so every Friday our talented Divas host a little Viva la Verve (VLV for short) sketch challenge for you! Play along with all of the sketches for a given month by uploading your cards using that month's sketches to our SCS gallery using the proper keywords and then posting all of your links in the Sketch Champions thread (posted the last week of each series of sketches). Do that by the entry deadline (the last Thursday of the month) and you'll be entered into a random drawing for a $100 e-gift certificate to the Verve Store!
Do I have to use Verve Stamps?
Nope. We're equal opportunity stampers around these parts. Of course, we do LOVE to see you shine your Verve if you've got it! And we might just pick some mystery prize winners every now and then from the cards that shine a little Verve.
How do I upload my cards to the gallery?
First of all, you need to be a member of SCS. It's free and such a fabulous source of inspiration, you'll be glad you did! Once you're a member, here's how to upload...
click the Upload a Card link in the left sidebar
browse to the photo on your computer
keep the default category as Member gallers and enter a title and description
click upload/submit
complete the ingredients for your card
type the keyword for the challenge (for example VLVJAN2013) in the keyword section
click process
It takes a few minutes for the gallery to process the keywords, but as long as you've got the correct keyword, your photo will appear in the gallery after a little while.
If you've already uploaded your cards, but forgot to add the keyword, you can edit them...In the bottom right corner under the information below the picture, there is an Edit Photo button. Click this, then in the Edit keywords section add thekeyword and then click process. These changes take about 10 minutes or so to appear, but then your card should appear in our challenge gallery.

We have a fun little twist to add this year, something low key, not mandatory, and only once a month! Once a month, on a rotating weekly basis, we're going to have an inspiration picture for you to use as well! You can use just the sketch, just the inspiration (pick colors, a layout, a theme, etc from the inspiration picture), or you can combine both challenges into one card! For January, we'll have the inspiration challenge on week 1, and in February it'll be on Week 2, and so on and so forth!
