Hi Verve Fans!! It's Charmaine and I'm excited to host this week of Viva la Verve!! Hopefully, like me, you're all settling into your routine of kids being back in school and having a little more time to stamp! So let's create!!
~Details~
Every Friday, a Diva will post a sketch for your enjoyment. Your cards, using the sketches, must be uploaded by the last Thursday of the month (check for the due date below!) The winner will be announced on the next day and will win a $100 gift certificate to VERVE! How awesome is that?! Just a reminder, Verve stamps are NOT required but we love to see you use them. Feel free to flip, rotate, resize, or otherwise alter the sketch as long as we can tell you USED the sketch!
For September, we'll have FOUR sketches! All FOUR cards must be uploaded to the VLVSep2012 gallery by midnight, CST on Thursday, September 27th to be eligible to win this month's prize! Winner will be announced on September 28th!GOOD LUCK!
Keywords for the entire month will be VLVSep2012 and Verve (if using Verve stamps).
If you're new to the gallery, here's a little info on how to add your cards to our gallery...
If you haven't uploaded your cards yet, just click the Upload a Card link in the left sidebar. Keep the default category as Member Galleries. Then follow the form to browse to the photo of your card on your computer, enter a title and description then click upload/submit. On the next screen it asks you for the ingredients of the card and also has a Keyword section. In this section type the keyword for this month's challenges...VLVSep2012. When you're done filling things out, click process. It takes a few minutes to show up in our challenge gallery but as long as you've got the correct keyword, your photo will eventually appear in the Gallery
If you've already uploaded your cards, you can edit the keywords by going to the photo in your gallery. In the bottom right corner under the information below the picture, there is an Edit Photo button. Click this, then in the Edit keywords section add the VLVSep2012 keyword and then click process. These changes take about 10 minutes or so to appear, but then your card should appear in our challenge gallery.

Here's this week's sketch followed by samples from Maureen, Teresa and myself! Thanks, girls, for your gorgeous cards!!
Ooh, these cards are absolutely stunning! I'm looking forward to having a go at this week! Unfortunately I can't see the sketch? Don't know if it's just me?!
Weird, the photo was within the post last night when I posted it. . .hmmm? I've uploaded it again AND attached it to the post, so hopefully you can see it now! Thanks for letting me know!

This is my second attempt at this sketch. I tried to mix it up a bit and go very graphic using one of the border stamps in Borderline, but it's just not my style. I couldn't get it to look right. I like this one so much more.
My last few cards have all been themed for support and encouragement. I was asked to make some cards for a silent auction to benefit the Making Strides Walk for Breast Cancer. I'm trying to keep the cards within the general theme that someone would give to friends or loved ones going through something like cancer or another illness, but not so specific they won't appeal to a wide range of people.

I am rather late starting the challenges this month and number 1 was too tough to start with so I moved on to number 2. This is my Christmas card for VLV Week 2 .
