Hello and welcome to the October Viva la Verve sketch challenges!
Details:
Every Friday, a Diva will post a sketch for your enjoyment. Your cards, using the sketches, must be uploaded by the last Thursday of the month (check for the due date below!) The winner will be announced on the next day and will win a $100 gift certificate to VERVE! How awesome is that?! Just a reminder, Verve stamps are NOT required but we love to see you use them. Feel free to flip, rotate, resize, or otherwise alter the sketch as long as we can tell you USED the sketch!
For October, we'll have FIVE sketches! All FIVE cards must be uploaded to the VLVOct2011 gallery by midnight, CST on Thursday, November 3rd to be eligible to win this month's prize! Winner will be announced on November 4th! GOOD LUCK!
Keywords for the entire month will be VLVOct2011 and Verve (if using Verve stamps).

If you're new to the gallery, here's a little info on how to add your cards to our gallery:
If you haven't uploaded your cards yet, just click the Upload a Card link in the left sidebar. Keep the default category as Member Galleries. Then follow the form to browse to the photo of your card on your computer, enter a title and description then click upload/submit. On the next screen it asks you for the ingredients of the card and also has a Keyword section. In this section type the keyword for this month's challenges... VLVOct2011. When you're done filling things out, click process. It takes a few minutes to show up in our challenge gallery but as long as you've got the correct keyword, your photo will eventually appear in the VLVOct2011 Gallery
If you've already uploaded your cards, you can edit the keywords by going to the photo in your gallery. In the bottom right corner under the information below the picture, there is an Edit Photo button. Click this, then in the Edit keywords section add the VLVOct2011 keyword and then click process. These changes take about 10 minutes or so to appear, but then your card should appear in our challenge gallery. __________________________________________________ ______

Love this sketch! I missed all the sketches last month with work starting back up and getting my daughter started in Kindergarten. Soooo...I am really ready to go this month!
I'm afraid I'm a bit in Halloween mode right now! LOL. I've been working on some Halloween treat boxes for my son's class, too, with very similar medallions on them. Then, I just got my order of EP's Apothecary Emporium papers, and that was all she wrote. No way I could think of anything else to make this time.
I left out the square around my medallion...just was looking too busy and covered up too much of the striped paper.
I agree with Marisa! I loved this sketch so much that I used it twice this weekend. After I made my first card for the sketch challenge, I used the sketch for a set of Christmas cards for my church's Christmas craft sale which is at the end of this month. Thanks again Amber
