Hello and welcome to the November Viva la Verve sketch challenges!
Typically, Diva Amber kicks off each month's sketch series, but since she's knee-deep in preparations for an international move, I get to fill in! I'm so excited to see what all of you talented Verve fans come up with this week!
Details:
Every Friday, a Diva will post a sketch for your enjoyment. Your cards, using the sketches, must be uploaded by the last Thursday of the month (check for the due date below!) The winner will be announced on the next day and will win a $100 gift certificate to VERVE! How awesome is that?! Just a reminder, Verve stamps are NOT required but we love to see you use them. Feel free to flip, rotate, resize, or otherwise alter the sketch as long as we can tell you USED the sketch!
For November, we'll have FOUR sketches! All FOUR cards must be uploaded to the VLVNov2011 gallery by midnight, CST on Thursday, December 1st to be eligible to win this month's prize! Winner will be announced on December 2nd! GOOD LUCK!
Keywords for the entire month will be VLVNov2011 and Verve (if using Verve stamps).
If you're new to the gallery, here's a little info on how to add your cards to our gallery:
If you haven't uploaded your cards yet, just click the Upload a Card link in the left sidebar. Keep the default category as Member Galleries. Then follow the form to browse to the photo of your card on your computer, enter a title and description then click upload/submit. On the next screen it asks you for the ingredients of the card and also has a Keyword section. In this section type the keyword for this month's challenges... VLVNov2011. When you're done filling things out, click process. It takes a few minutes to show up in our challenge gallery but as long as you've got the correct keyword, your photo will eventually appear in the VLVNov2011 Gallery
If you've already uploaded your cards, you can edit the keywords by going to the photo in your gallery. In the bottom right corner under the information below the picture, there is an Edit Photo button. Click this, then in the Edit keywords section add the VLVNov2011 keyword and then click process. These changes take about 10 minutes or so to appear, but then your card should appear in our challenge gallery. __________________________________________________ ______
Here's our sketch for this week!
Below are samples from Teresa, Julee, Andrea, and myself. Thank you, sample-makers!
Another brain burner for me......and it doesn't even have skewed panels!
Great samples ladies, and amazing card using the sketch Bridget!!!

Fabulous cards everyone!!! You've rocked this fun sketch!
LOL Marisa, is stumped me a bit too and just couldn't get something to work last night....but I won't give up
I'm sorry, Tricia! I didn't mean for this to be a tricky sketch! Is it all the circles? Try using an embellishment for the small circle, then swap the larger circle in the back for a piece of vellum (i.e. it's there, but you can't really see it). That way you'll only have one circle left to fool with!
Thanks, Amy! I think part of the reason is that I looked at it last night after being on the road for two days going back and forth to my aunt's funeral. I was thinking of doing the sketch last night to "unwind", but I was (and still am, for that matter) SO tired that I couldn't even process it! I'll maybe try it tomorrow...
So sorry to hear about your aunt's passing, Tricia. Glad you've got some of your energy back! Awesome take on the sketch. I just adore the sentiment with the whole coffee theme!
Thank you Amy for a fun sketch! I chose to make mine horizontally, and just used some masculine papers and kept the embellishments to a minimum. Love VLV sketches!

Not really one to get an early start on Christmas cards, but loved the circular shapes in this sketch...just called to me for some 3D ornaments. AND both sets are on sale this month!!! So if you don't have them, pick them up!!!
Ugh. Not one, but 3 circles! This is going to take some serious thinking, lol! Thanks for some great inspiration to get my butt back into stamping gear!
I thought this sketch was awesome! A little intimidating at first, but it turned out great. I did two cards because I'm working on a couple of Christmas gifts and wanted to crank out a couple of cards.
Still a little bit of time to get your challenge cards made this month. Good luck to those who do all four!! You all are rocking my Week One sketch, and I'm just thrilled every time I look through the new gallery uploads. Thanks to all who have played! And a huge, warm welcome to all the new players. We're so glad to have you join us. I'm off to get caught up in the gallery
