Hi Verve fans, I'm excited to be hosting the third Viva La Verve sketch challenge for the month of May! I've come up with an easy one that I hope you'll like. Can't wait to see your creations!
Details:
Every Friday, a Diva will post a sketch for your enjoyment. Your cards, using the sketches, must be uploaded by the last Thursday of the month (check for the due date below!) The winner will be announced on the next day and will win the ENTIRE next Verve stamp release! How awesome is that?! Just a reminder, Verve stamps are NOT required but we love to see you use them. Feel free to flip, rotate, resize, or otherwise alter the sketch as long as we can tell you USED the sketch!
For May, we'll have FIVE sketches! All five cards must be uploaded to the VLVMay2011 gallery by midnight, CST on Thursday, June 2nd to be eligible to win this month's prize! Winner will be announced on June 3rd! GOOD LUCK!
Keywords for the entire month will be VLVMay2011 and Verve (if using Verve stamps).
Some info:
If you're new to the gallery, here's a little info on how to add your cards to our gallery:
If you haven't uploaded your cards yet, just click the Upload a Card link in the left sidebar. Keep the default category as Member Galleries. Then follow the form to browse to the photo of your card on your computer, enter a title and description then click upload/submit. On the next screen it asks you for the ingredients of the card and also has a Keyword section. In this section type the keyword for this month's challenges... VLVMay2011. When you're done filling things out, click process. It takes a few minutes to show up in our challenge gallery but as long as you've got the correct keyword, your photo will eventually appear in the VLVMay2011 Gallery. If you've already uploaded your cards, you can edit the keywords by going to the photo in your gallery. In the bottom right corner under the information below the picture, there is an Edit Photo button. Click this, then in the Edit keywords section add the VLVMay2011 keyword and then click process. These changes take about 10 minutes or so to appear, but then your card should appear in our challenge gallery.
I LOVE It! I'm so excited to play ... but we're leaving town today Because of course it's a really great idea to drive across the province with 6 year old twins with Autism on Friday the 13th! You know, I wonder if I could take a lap board and make cards as my husband drives ... can you plug a cricut into the dash of an Expedition?? Hmmmm ...

Some spectacular samples, ladies. And there you go using my favorite papers, Amy!! Did I mention I bought an extra pad of the Mabel line? Just to hoard, you know? LOL
I'm thinking I need to jump on a father's day card. I start back for summer classes on Monday. Summer's gonna kick my butt! LOL.

I've so done that, Nicole -- bought the extra pack just for hoarding. This is definitely my favorite among the Stella & Rose packs!
Loved the sketch and all the WOW samples by the divas! MY CARD
Love this, Wanda! The shape of the patterned paper panel is so eye-catching and the sentiment and frame really pop against those pastels! Thanks for playing!
And thanks for the kind feedback, everyone! Can't wait to see what continues to trickle into the gallery over the next few days and weeks! Have a great weekend!
I had so much fun with this one. That circle shape was just screaming for a medallion to me (I think I just really wanted to play with making a slightly different one than normal after seeing a post by Becca's website, Amazing Paper Grace). I used the Cricut to cut some borders and line them up side by side to make a pattern to sub in for the hatched-looking portion on Amy's sketch, and the same border cut a little larger for the medallion.
