Hi there! Sorry I'm getting today's sketch up a little late, I hurt my back yesterday and can't sit, I have to lay flat on my back, ugh! So I'm making this short and sweet

Every Friday, a Diva will post a sketch for your enjoyment. Your cards, using the sketches, must be uploaded by the last Thursday of the month (check for the due date below!) The winner will be announced on the next day and will win a $100 gift certificate to VERVE! How awesome is that?! Just a reminder, Verve stamps are NOT required but we love to see you use them. Feel free to flip, rotate, resize, or otherwise alter the sketch as long as we can tell you USED the sketch!
For July, we'll have FIVE sketches! All FIVE cards must be uploaded to the VLVJul2012 gallery by midnight, CST on Thursday, August 2nd to be eligible to win this month's prize! Winner will be announced on August 3rd! GOOD LUCK!
Keywords for the entire month will be VLVJul2012 and Verve (if using Verve stamps).
If you're new to the gallery, here's a little info on how to add your cards to our gallery:
If you haven't uploaded your cards yet, just click the Upload a Card link in the left sidebar. Keep the default category as Member Galleries. Then follow the form to browse to the photo of your card on your computer, enter a title and description then click upload/submit. On the next screen it asks you for the ingredients of the card and also has a Keyword section. In this section type the keyword for this month's challenges... VLVJul2012. When you're done filling things out, click process. It takes a few minutes to show up in our challenge gallery but as long as you've got the correct keyword, your photo will eventually appear in the VLVJul2012 Gallery
If you've already uploaded your cards, you can edit the keywords by going to the photo in your gallery. In the bottom right corner under the information below the picture, there is an Edit Photo button. Click this, then in the Edit keywords section add the VLVJul2012 keyword and then click process. These changes take about 10 minutes or so to appear, but then your card should appear in our challenge gallery.

Thanks Marisa! It's doing better today, I'm able to sit up a little as long as I'm not straight up, haha! So that means no stamping yet, dang!!!!!!!!! When I can't do it, that's when I REALLY want to, isn't that just life? LOL!

Have you tried a chiropractor - they work wonders Know not everyone is sold on them, but I love them and will vouch for them big time. Just have to make sure you find a good one as there are a lot of not so good ones around. Cyber hugs for a quick recovery so you can rid the creative craving

Newbie to this challenge, it sure looks great! I received my first order from Verve last month and I must say it was the best looking online delivery I've received ever! Plus really great quality stamps and dies.....one happy girl here.....so now to play and not just hoard

Amber: I've suffered back probems for years....surgery, injections, etc. From experience I will tell you this - Lay flat on back, elevate feet, take BIG FAT Ibuprofen pills, drink water, and use a heating pad. This usually does the trick.
Just prayed for you!

Oh thank you so much Karen I have been laying on my back and taking Ibuprofen! I'm going to start using a heat pad today I think because I'm still sore! When I first hurt it, I read that you're supposed to use ice for the first few days and then heat after that. Thanks for the prayers, they're working because I'm slowly getting better

Welcome, Lisa! So glad you found us! I can just imagine your surprise and excitement with the fabulous customer service, delivery speed AND amazing stamps Hope you'll join us each week now! Made 2 cards with my Verve stamps today and they still make me giddy
LOL!! No Schmoopy, I was drying the dogs off after we were swimming! It was the weirdest thing, just out of nowhere! And here I am a week later, and still sore! GRR!
I am fairly new to card making and just recently received my first order from Verve stamps. I was searching online about a month ago for stamp sets with scriptures and thankfully I ended up here at SCS. I ordered five of the Plain Jane scriptures and the small set I used to make this card with. The Plain Janes are perfect and the quality is great, and I really appreciate not having to buy an entire set of stamps to just get the one or two stamps that I like. So anyway, I signed up for the Verve newsletters (hoping for discount coupons ) and I received an email about the sketch challenge you have going on here. I'm really trying to get more comfortable with making cards and using sketches, so thought I would give this challenge a try. I don't know if my PJ's will work with all the July sketches, but I'm going to try. This card is for Week 1's sketch.
I really like your card, Stacey. I noticed that our cards are similar in that we used the same die tools but yet they still turned out very different. Your card is very bright and cheerful while mine is sort of soft and serene.
