Hello everyone!! It's my pleasure to host this week's Viva la Verve Sketch. This year we decided to make the last week of each month a CAS (Clean and Simple) sketch. Personally, I find these a lot harder than loading my cards up with tons of papers and embellishments, but I enjoy the CAS style very much.
Here are the Details:
Every Friday, a Diva will post a sketch for your enjoyment. Your cards, using the sketches, must be uploaded by the last Thursday of the month (check for the due date below!) The winner will be announced on the next day and will win a $100 gift certificate to VERVE! How awesome is that?! Just a reminder, Verve stamps are NOT required but we love to see you use them. Feel free to flip, rotate, resize, or otherwise alter the sketch as long as we can tell you USED the sketch!
We've had four sketches in February. All four of your cards must be uploaded to the VLVFEB2012 Gallery and linked up in theVLVLFEB2012 Sketch CHAMPIONS thread by midnight, CST on Thursday, March 1, to be eligible to win this month's prize! Winner will be announced on March 2! GOOD LUCK! To make things easy, here's the link to the printable PDF sketchbook of all of February's sketches.
Keywords for the entire month will be VLVFeb2012 and Verve (if using Verve Stamps).
If you're new to the gallery, here's a little info on how to add your cards to our gallery:
If you haven't uploaded your cards yet, just click the Upload a Card link in the left sidebar. Keep the default category as Member Galleries. Then follow the form to browse to the photo of your card on your computer, enter a title and description then click upload/submit. On the next screen it asks you for the ingredients of the card and also has a Keyword section. In this section type the keyword for this month's challenges... VLVFeb2012. When you're done filling things out, click process. It takes a few minutes to show up in our challenge gallery but as long as you've got the correct keyword, your photo will eventually appear in the VLVFeb2012 Gallery
If you've already uploaded your cards, you can edit the keywords by going to the photo in your gallery. In the bottom right corner under the information below the picture, there is an Edit Photo button. Click this, then in the Edit keywords section add the VLVFeb2012 keyword and then click process. These changes take about 10 minutes or so to appear, but then your card should appear in our challenge gallery.
Oh, I love you!! This is an easy sketch and that's about all the mojo I have right now!!! Yippee!! I should be able to finish this today or tomorrow.. although maybe if I wait longer I'll be better in the running for the $100 prize, since it always seems like the first few to put their names in seldom win. ; )
Great sketch, Tosh Love how you can dress these up or keep them CAS.
Tricia: I agree. Random org is rarely kind to the first few numbers

So glad ya'll like the sketch this week. I like CAS cards too, although they actually take me longer than cards that I put a lot of detail into. It's crazy!!! LOL
I love the CAS twist this year and I agree with Tosh...takes me longer to do a CAS card than one with many layers (it doesn't come naturally for me, so I take forever to decide what few elements I want to use - lol). Here is MY CAS CARD.
