Hi Everyone! I am excited to be this week's Viva La Verve Hostess!!
If you know me at all, then you know how much I love patterned paper! So, this week I created a sketch that allows you to use as much (or as little) patterned paper as your heart desires! Yay!!!
Details: Every Friday, a Diva will post a sketch for your enjoyment. Your cards, using the sketches, must be uploaded by the last Thursday of the month (check for the due date below!) The winner will be announced on the next day and will win a $100 gift certificate to VERVE! How awesome is that?! Just a reminder, Verve stamps are NOT required but we love to see you use them. Feel free to flip, rotate, resize, or otherwise alter the sketch as long as we can tell you USED the sketch!
For February, we'll have FOUR sketches! All FOUR cards must be uploaded to the VLVFeb2012 gallery by midnight, CST on Thursday, March 1st to be eligible to win this month's prize! Winner will be announced on March 2nd! GOOD LUCK!
Keywords for the entire month will be VLVFeb2012 and Verve (if using Verve Stamps).
If you're new to the gallery, here's a little info on how to add your cards to our gallery:
If you haven't uploaded your cards yet, just click the Upload a Card link in the left sidebar. Keep the default category as Member Galleries. Then follow the form to browse to the photo of your card on your computer, enter a title and description then click upload/submit. On the next screen it asks you for the ingredients of the card and also has a Keyword section. In this section type the keyword for this month's challenges... VLVFeb2012. When you're done filling things out, click process. It takes a few minutes to show up in our challenge gallery but as long as you've got the correct keyword, your photo will eventually appear in the VLVFeb2012 Gallery
If you've already uploaded your cards, you can edit the keywords by going to the photo in your gallery. In the bottom right corner under the information below the picture, there is an Edit Photo button. Click this, then in the Edit keywords section add the VLVFeb2012 keyword and then click process. These changes take about 10 minutes or so to appear, but then your card should appear in our challenge gallery.

Love the sketch this week! Here's what it inspired me (although now that I look back at the original sketch, I just noticed I forgot to add a banner piece behind my main image - oops!):
So let me make sure I got this correct.. cause I've never done this one before, so each month there's 4 sketches and we make 4 cards, upload to the gallery and which ever ones are liked the most, is the winner for that month?? I just want to make sure I get it before I play! Thanks in advance!

You're partially correct! There will be four sketches this month (three of them are already posted and the last will be posted this coming Friday). To be eligible for the prize drawing, you would need to complete all four sketches. After the fourth sketch is posted this Friday, Julee will start a thread called VLVFEB2012 Sketch Champions {post your links HERE} (or something very close to it) in the Verve Stamps Contests and Challenges Forum. When you have all four sketches complete, just add the links to your cards there! I believe the winner is randomly chosen, so everyone has an equal chance! The winner will also be announced in the Verve Stamps Contests and Challenges Forum, so make sure to keep checking back!

Thanks! I'll probably start in March, that way I'm not rushing to come up with 4 cards in time, I want to take my time on them! Thanks for the info! This sounds like fun!
